Due to its success in 2024 and the feedback from residents, our garden competition is back for 2026.
Our contractors and local businesses sponsor the competition which leads to some fantastic prizes such as garden centre or shopping vouchers.
Anyone can enter the competition and entries can be a full garden to a small balcony or some potted plants. This is to encourage everyone to take care of and look after their outside areas.
There are five categories you can enter:
- main garden
- wildlife friendly garden
- best newcomer
- communal garden
- best use of a small space
We view every single entry received, our Resident Engagement Panel will then shortlist and pick a winner and highly commended for each category.
To enter the competition:
- you must be one of our tenants or a leaseholder - your details will be checked on our system to confirm this
- you can only enter one category
- work on gardens must be done by you as the resident
- by entering, you agree that we can share your address and contact information with the judges, for the purpose of judging the competition
- you do not need to be present for the judging; however, access and permission to your garden must be given.
- to give everyone a chance, winners will take a two-year break from entering and will be invited to join the judging panel during that time.
- we cannot accept any responsibility for loss or delay to entries being received
You must submit your entry by Friday 10 July 2026.
Judging will take place on Tuesday 21 and Wednesday 22 July 2026.
We will have an award ceremony for the winners on Wednesday 5 August 2026 at Tower House, Canterbury.
