Pay your business rates

There are a few ways you can pay your business rates.

Pay by Direct Debit

Direct Debit is the easiest way to pay. It's simple, safe and secure, and you only need to give us your details once.

You can choose to pay in 10 or 12 monthly instalments.

If your business account has more than one signatory you'll need to download and complete a business rates Direct Debit form instead:

Make your payment to us quoting your business rates account number and the details below:

Call 01227 862 427. You'll need your debit or credit card and business rates account number. 

If you can't pay your business rates

If you're experiencing financial difficulties and can't pay your business rates, you must contact our business rates team straight away. We'll check that you're getting any rate relief or discounts you may be entitled to.

If you've fallen behind with payments you can ask to set up an arrangement to help pay the amount you owe.

If you don't tell us you need help paying and you miss a payment we'll send a reminder notice and then a final notice.

If you miss more payments we'll take action to recover the outstanding money.
