Adopted Local Plan
See the Local Plan adopted in 2017.
The Local Plan (adopted in July 2017) sets out plans to develop Canterbury district until 2031. We use it to help make planning decisions for the area.
It includes:
- housing, employment, infrastructure, and open space development
- major developments like Mountfield Park
- policies to protect and improve the environment
- a proposals map showing the allocated areas for development
